Why I garden for Nature.
I garden for all our fauna & flora because I see around me the pressure our ecosystem is under & the demands but on our landscapes, whether this be through modern farming methods, road infrastructure or housing developments.
Our gardens are so important to us, they create a linear nature reserves, even the smallest of gardens can yield great benefits & can become a sanctuary.
Bees & Butterflies can find nectar, Birds will find food, shelter & nesting sites to support the next generation of Birds. Amphibians can find a home in amongst log piles, leaf litter, even a tiny bucket pond could provide you with many Frog & Toadlets to much on your garden pests.
I also garden this way because it allows time for not only nature to recover but also myself from the everyday hustle & bustle we all encounter throughout our lives, nature is the perfect antidote to a stressful day.
Each life supported here is a reminder of no matter how small our positive actions may seem or appear to be they all count & Nature will reward you with its ever-giving presence.
