Get the trees in!

We’re coming to the end of tree planting time so the last few are going in. We favour home grown or transplanted from our own sites to avoid contamination.  If we buy trees in, we quarantine them for at least a year to ensure they are disease free. But,  it isn’t just about the trees. We also have wildflowers in the pots. In this case we have Celandine,  Wood Violet and Ground Ivy. We try to disguise our scent to avoid any animal excavation 🦡🦌🐇but we can only do what we can.  Plant 100 and hope. If a handful survive, we’re doing well.

For at least the first year, we will check them at least once a week and water them during drier weather to give them the best chance at survival.

Then they’re on their own!
